NEC Storage Replication Navigator Suite utilizes at a maximum data replication function and snapshot function of NEC Storage series and provides commands and GUI console that simplify complex process to backup and restore data. Also, the product manages mapping between database or file system, which is a target of backup and restore, and enables backup or restore with a single command. With these functions, the product eases significantly the configuration of a backup system and reduces the tasks of an operator. |

The product performs high-speed and certain backup using data replication function or snapshot function by analyzing mapping of resource information while maintaining integrity. By cooperation with a backup and recovery product, backup to a tape is also possible. |

NEC Storage Replication Navigator Suite for Exchange performs backup without disruption of Microsoft® Exchange Server data database in cooperation with volume shadow copy service (VSS) supported by Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 or later. NEC Storage Replication Navigator Suite for FileSystem performs backup without unmounting file system in cooperation with volume shadow copy service (VSS) supported by Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 or later. |
